Readers - Export Directives task parameters
Export Reader Directives page
From the Export Reader Directives page, select the clock server to receive data, the location of the exported XML and log files, and the required database tables and fields. In addition, set the logging level and limit the number of records in one file.
Note: All the fields on this page are mandatory. If information is not
provided for a field, the Workforce Management application uses FALSE as the
default.
- Reader Server(s)
- The clock server name (as defined in the database) for which the export XML directives are prepared. The Reader Server(s) field determines which clock reader groups receive the XML directives files. Select the clock reader groups that use this task.

- Log files location
- The directory for task log files. Specify the location of the log files. For version 4.0 and later, the path must not include the client and server names, as these are assumed by the system. Tables from where data is exported must be marked as TRUE and have field mappings set appropriately. Tables from where data is not be exported must be marked as FALSE. The functions that are implemented in the external system determine the required tables and fields.

- Field Mappings
- Specifies the fields in each of the required tables that are included in the XML directives file. If necessary, the system default field names can be changed to a customized value as required by the external system. Field mapping information for a table is defined in the Reader Directives Setup page.
