Setting Up Job Rate Imports

To set up a Job Rate Import:

  1. Create the CSV text file.

    You must create the Job Rate Import CSV file according to the field specifications listed in the Job Rate Import Interface References section. See Job Rate Import Interface logic.

  2. Specify this information to create a scheduled task in the Job Scheduler:
    Task Type
    Import Task

    Import Task Parameters:

    Interface Type
    JOB IMPORT
    Transformer Class Name
    Check Use Default Transformer unless you are using a custom transformer or a transformer script.
    File Name

    Specify the file name, including the absolute path to the CSV import file. The file must be on the server with the application.

    UTF-8 Encoded
    Check if the incoming file is so encoded.
    Performs Difference

    Select the Performs Difference check box if you want the Import Task to perform a difference between the CSV file and the CSV file of the previous run Import Task. Only the information that is different is imported into the staging table.

  3. Specify this information to create a scheduled task in the Job Scheduler:
    Task Type
    Interface Task

    Interface Task Parameters:

    Interface Type
    JOB IMPORT
  4. There are no Job Rate Import Interface parameters to configure.
