Readers - FTP Transport task parameters
The FTP Transport Task page is used to set the pairs of locations from and to which files are transported. This page is also used to set the FTP server's username, password, port number, and the location and level of logging.
These fields are on the FTP Transfer Setup page:
- Add Target and Destination Folders
- Opens the Target/Destination Information page.
- Log Folder
- Must be set to the directory where the logs are written. For Workbrain 4.0, the directory path must not include the client and server names. The client and server names are inserted automatically at run time.
- Log Level
- Set to None, error, warn, info, or debug as required.
These fields are in the Target/Destination Information page.
For exported files:
- Target Folder (FROM)
- The location of the export data.
- Source file and folder (TO)
- The location where the files must be sent on the external system.
- Username
- Enter the username that is required to access the external systems folder by FTP.
- Password
- Enter the password that is required to access the external systems folder by FTP.
- Port
- Usually set to 21.
For imported files:
- Target Folder (FROM)
- The location of the transactions at the external system and target (source) information.
- Source file and folder (TO)
- The location where the files must be fetched.
- Username
- Enter the username that is required to access the external systems folder by FTP.
- Password
- Enter the password that is required to access the external systems folder by FTP.
- Port
- Usually set to 21.
Note: For version 4, the directory paths must include the client and server
names.
