Cognos Analytics Report Attachments

The Cognos Analytics Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) Export for CMS scheduled report creates attachments that contain employee data that can be used to export to CMS. These attachments are stored in the WB_RESOURCE table. A link is provided to the user in a Workmail message that allows you to download this attachment.

A Payroll Based Journal purge profile in the Archive Task exists to remove these PBJ attachments. If you are using the PBJ report and must support permanent erasure of an employee, this purge profile should be configured to purge these attachments once they are a few weeks old.

Note: Since each XML attachment contains information about several employees, it is not possible for the permanent erasure tool to delete a single attachment when an employee requests permanent erasure.
