Overview
Many states and municipalities are considering or enacting legislation to discourage employers from practices that create unpredictable schedules for employees.
The Fair Scheduling module is designed to help organizations satisfy the legal requirements of fair scheduling (schedule predictability) laws. These laws govern how employees are reimbursed for last-minute schedule changes.
Organizations can use the Fair Scheduling module to address these objectives:
- Capture incidents when schedules are modified within a specified time threshold.
- Indicate why individual changes were made, and when the employee was notified.
- Pay employees mandated premiums when required.
In the initial version of the Fair Scheduling module, Labor Forecasting and Schedule Optimization (LFSO) is the only scheduling tool that is supported.
