Creating UI fields for parameters in a custom rule
To create UI fields for parameters in a custom rule:
-
If you need to add parameters for your custom rule, you must create a
maintenance form that is used for this purpose. To do this, click Create Configuration Screen in the UI
Configuration Screen section of Extension Script page.
Note: UI Configuration Screen is displayed only for script extensions for rules and conditions. This option is not available for other script extensions.
- Click Edit Configuration Screen to go to the maintenance form.
- On the maintenance form, you can add the parameters for your custom script in the Form Fields section of the page.
-
Click the ‘+’ icon to add a field for a parameter and then specify the
appropriate values for your custom script.
Note: When adding UI fields for parameters in a custom rule, the ‘Wbf Col Order’ defaults to -1 which causes the fields to not render. This should be set to an appropriate value and not left as a default value. In addition, when adding a field it is important to set it to a positive integer and increasing the value for each field. For example, the ‘Wbf Col Order’ for the first field should be set to 1, the second to 2, and so on.
- To edit your custom script once again on the Extension Script window, you can click the Open extension script ‘<script name>’ link on the maintenance form.
