Creating an IP address whitelist for your reader (on-premises only)

If you have deployed TimeTrack in an on-premises environment, then you have the option of using an IP address whitelist for security. You can specify the IP address range for your TimeTrack device to prevent employee swipes from unauthorized locations (for example, on their way to work). You can create an IP address whitelist that defines the range of acceptable IP addresses for clock swipes.

To use this option, you must disable device registration.

See Disabling device registration (on-premises only).

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Validations > IP Address Whitelist.
You can use an existing whitelist or create a new one for your TimeTrack reader.
  2. Click Edit for an existing whitelist or click Create New Entry to create a new whitelist.
  3. For an existing whitelist or creating a new whitelist, you can specify the TimeTrack reader under Readers by clicking the + icon.
  4. Click Save.
