Connecting the clock to the network

The initial setup of the 6000 series clock involves loading the clock program and setting the system information, such as the IP address and network subnet mask, during the startup configuration.

You must connect the 6000 series clock to power and your network using an Ethernet connection, or just a power over Ethernet (PoE) connection, if the clock is connected to a PoE enabled network. Once connected, the clock automatically powers on.
