Adding clock readers

Each 6000 Series clock that you install must have a corresponding clock reader in the WFM application.

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Organization > Readers.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify the clock reader's name in the Reader field.
    This name is required for configuring Web Services on the clock.
  4. Specify a description of the clock, such as the physical location, in the Description field.
  5. Select the reader group to which the 6000 series clock belongs using the Reader Group lookup.
  6. Specify the IP or MAC address of the clock in the IP Address field.
  7. Specify 0 in the Reader Zone field that represents the clock's area. This field is required by the WFM application, although for the 6000 series clock this field can be 0.
  8. Select the clock reader's time zone using the Time Zone lookup.
  9. If the clock is in Basic Mode, specify the full path of the directory on the WBCS in which the program file is stored, in the Download File field.
  10. For 6000 Series Clocks in Basic Mode, specify ATS in the Reader Type field.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Ensure the message Your changes have been saved is displayed.
    Note: The fields on the Readers Detail page not mentioned in these steps are not applicable to the 6000 series clock.
