Software updates for the clock

A software update installs a new patch or maintenance release from Infor.

When upgrading clocks you have two options to select from:

  • A full upgrade artifact that is required when updating to major releases (non-maintenance releases). Use the WB9000-a.b.c.d.<build_number>-Core-<date>.zip artifact if you are upgrading from a version prior to 6.2.4.1.
  • A partial upgrade artifact that allows for a quicker update when updating to maintenance releases (non-major releases). Use the update-WB9000-a.b.c.d.<build_number>-Core-<date>.zip artifact if you are upgrading from version 6.2.4.1+. This artifact allows for a quicker update by only updating the files on the clock that have changed rather than all files.

In the above mentioned artifacts, a.b.c.d represents the version of the application and <build_number> represents the build number.

Note: Both artifacts should not used at the same time.

To complete a software update, place the file received from Infor in a base upgrade location as defined in a registry setting. When a software update is completed, the clock reboots to make the updates take effect.
