Enabling biometric validation for WFM version 6.1.4.0 and lower and clock version 6.1.4.0+

  1. Log in to WFM with a system administrator account.
  2. Turn on Config Mode (gear icon in the upper right corner of the application).
  3. Navigate to your reader configuration in Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Organization > Readers.
  4. Click Edit on the reader you want to change.
  5. Select the orange diamond icon next to Enable Biometric Validation.
  6. Select HiddenUI from the Field UI drop-down list.
  7. Click Save and close the localization window.
  8. Select the orange diamond icon next to Rdr Flag1.
  9. Select CheckboxUI from the Field UI drop-down list.
  10. Enter a localized caption for the field. For example, Enable Biometric Validation.
  11. Click Save and close the localization window.
  12. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee Badge.
  13. Select the orange diamond icon next to Empbdg Flag1.
  14. Select CheckboxUI from the Field UI drop-down list.
  15. Enter a localized caption for the field. For example, Enable Biometrics.
  16. Click Save and close the localization window.
  17. Select Turn OFF Config Mode.
  18. Clear the browser or application cache to view the configuration changes.
