Manually changing the root password

There are two high-level steps required for the process of changing the root password on all clocks:

1. Create a new shadow file that contains the encrypted password. See Creating a shadow file.
2. Copy the shadow file to all other clocks that require the new password. See Copying the shadow file to clocks.
