Additional data entry options
The 8000 Series clock will also support these data entry options:
- Keyboard with alphanumeric keys that plugs into the USB port of the clock.
This could be used to enter an alphanumeric labor metric when the labor metrics are not easily selected from a list on the clock.
- External barcode gun that scans barcodes and plugs into the USB port of the clock.
This could be used to scan barcodes that represent various labor metrics.
Note: Both the keyboard and the barcode gun can be simultaneously plugged in as long as the USB
ports are available on the clock. If you are using the clock WiFi option, only one other USB
device can be used since the WiFi adapter will use one of the USB ports.
Support for the keyboard and barcode gun is contained in a patch for the 8000 Series clock. Contact Infor Support for more information on obtaining this patch. For information on how to apply a patch to the operating system, see Updating the clock operating system.
