Using reader configurations
Each reader configuration that you define is associated with one or more reader groups, and the configuration settings are used for all clock readers in those groups.
The available configuration properties are defined by the system. You can change the value of each property in a reader configuration, but you cannot add or remove properties.
You can create several versions of your reader configuration as you refine your clock deployment. The start date and end date for each reader configuration determine which configuration is currently active.
To use reader configurations for 8000 or 9000 series clocks, both your WFM application and your clocks must be on the April 2024 version or after.
If both your WFM application and your clocks are on the November 2024 version or after, then some of the properties that were previously defined in individual clock readers can be defined in reader configurations instead.
See Clock readers and reader configurations.
Additionally, to use reader configurations, the clocks must connect to WFM in Restful API mode.
