Adding clock reader servers

Within the WFM application, you must set up one reader server type and one reader server. You can use these two specifications for multiple 8000 or 9000 Series clocks.

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Organization > Reader Server Types.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Reader Server Types
    Specify 8000 or 9000.
    Description
    Specify a brief description.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Servers.
  6. Click Create New Entry.
  7. Specify this information:
    Reader Server
    Specify a name for the reader server.
    Description
    Specify a brief description of this server, such as the clocks that the server supports.
    Reader NT Service Machine Name
    Specify a unique identifier.

    This information is required by the WFM application. For the 8000 or 9000 series clock, this name must be unique.

    Reader Server Type
    Select 8000 or 9000.
  8. Click Save.
