Generating schedules manually with Simple Scheduling

Use these steps to manually generate a week-long simple schedule.

  1. Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Schedule > Auto Assignment.
  2. Optional. Select Auto-assignment Groups to select individual Auto-Assignment groups to generate the schedule.
Note: For simple schedules, you are not required to select an Auto-Assignment group.
  3. Follow these steps if you selected Auto-Assignment Groups:
    1. Specify this information:
      Name
Specify a name for the schedule.
      Location(s)
Select the location or locations that you are scheduling.
Note: When scheduling more than one location, the locations must have the same Schedule Requirement Interval configured in their location setup.
      Start Date
Specify the start date for the schedule.
    2. In the Staffing Requirements section, select Load requirements minimum from location info
Note: This is the only option available for Simple Scheduling.
    3. Select the Auto-Assignment groups that you want to use to make the schedule from the Group(s) field, and then click Add.
    4. If you have selected more than one Auto-Assignment group, then click and drag the groups to set the Priority order. The group with the Priority value of 1 selects employees first based on the group's employee filters, followed by other groups in ascending order.
  4. Select the Simple Scheduling check box.
  5. Click Go and then click OK to confirm.

The Auto-Assignment feature sends you a workmail notification when the Auto-Assignment process is complete. The workmail includes a link to view each schedule that was generated by the process.

By default, the Simple Scheduling process creates a published schedule. There are no additional steps for publishing a schedule.
