How MVS Auto-Assignment works
Auto-Assignment in MVS is designed for the needs of healthcare or public sector organizations. Employees in these organizations may have strict requirements for their shifts and rotations that are based on union rules, regulations, or other policies.
When a user initiates an Auto-Assignment process in MVS, they either generate a schedule of unassigned shifts from a shift template or use existing unassigned shifts. Shift templates are used when the user wants Auto-Assignment to create a schedule from a predefined rotation of shifts. Unassigned shifts can also be assigned using Auto-Assignment. These shifts may be generated before the Auto-Assignment process is run, or the shifts can be unassigned due to employees calling in sick or other reasons.
