Using staff offsets with shift offsets

When both types of offsets are enabled for a department, Auto-Assignment uses staff offsets to determine how to adjust shifts at the beginning and end of hours of operation. Shifts starting at opening time are extended by the length of the opening staff offset when both an opening staff offset and shift start offset are enabled. Similarly, shifts ending at closing time are extended by the length of the closing staff offset when both a closing staff offset and shift end offset are enabled. Shift offsets are used to adjust the start times of shifts that start at any point after opening time or to adjust the end times of shifts that end at any point before closing time. Each staff offset or shift offset field is considered enabled when the value specified is greater than zero.
