Auto-Assignment groups
Auto-Assignment groups must be created before you can use the Auto-Assignment feature. These groups are where you assemble employees into groups that use the same set of rules. Users select one or more Auto-Assignment groups when generating schedules in the scheduling modules.
It is important to note that you do not assign individual employees to Auto-Assignment groups. Instead, employee selection is managed by creating filters (for example, job and team filters). These filters select the employees to be scheduled when Auto-Assignment is run. For example, for an Auto-Assignment group called RN-cardio, one filter is set for the Cardio team and the other filter is set for the RN job. When the RN-cardio group is selected for an Auto-Assignment run, the run assigns shifts only to employees with RN job qualifications who are on the Cardio team.
