Modifying the global validation settings

Use these steps to modify the global validation settings and subsequent individual parameters as required.

  1. In the WFM application, select Maintenance > System Administration > Input Validations > Global Validation Settings.
  2. Click Edit next to import in the Name column.
  3. Modify the characters in the Illegal Chars field as required.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Input Validations > Field Validations.
  6. Use the Advanced Search option to locate the individual parameters to update.
  7. Click Edit next to the parameter to update.
  8. Modify the characters in the PARAMETER RANGE field and click Save.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for all individual parameters as required.
After you modify the global validation settings, we recommend running a System Health Check for the Input Validation tag.

To run a System Health Check, select Maintenance > System Administration > Diagnostic Tools > System Health Check.
