Deleting the contents using the Inbound Delete Migration file

Use these steps to import the contents of the Inbound Delete Migration file into your WFM application.
Note: When the import is run, the rows in the target system that are not in the source migration file will be deleted. You cannot rollback a Delete Migration. Additionally, if a record already has been used in transactional tables, then it cannot be deleted.
  1. In your target environment/instance of WFM, select Maintenance > System Administration > Data Migration > Migration Import > Import Inbound Migration.
  2. From Inbound Migration Name, select the name of the Inbound Delete Migration that you want to import.
  3. Click +Add and Close.
  4. In Import Note, you can specify a short description for the import.
  5. Click Next to display the View Records screen of the wizard which only displays tables.

    In this screen you can:

    • View the records for each table which are displayed as tabs across the screen.
    • View the Operation type for each record.
    • View record details by clicking the arrow icon. The View Record Details dialog displays the Field Name and Old Value (before migration).
  6. Click Next to display the Review screen of the wizard. You can once again review the records and the details of the migration.
  7. If you are satisfied with the details of the migration, click Migrate.

A Job Scheduler task now completes the delete migration.

  8. To view the details of the migration, select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.

In the Job Scheduler task list, the Migrate Task will automatically run and complete the migration. You will receive a Workmail that the migration has completed successfully.

After importing the migration, you can view the transactions of the delete migration. Select:

Maintenance > System Administration > Data Migration > Migration Import > Migration Import Transactions. Click Edit for the delete migration.
