Cognos Analytics

When the Workforce Management application is deployed in GovCloud mode, the Cognos Analytics reporting solution is not available by default. Infor Workforce Management Birst Analytics is the default reporting solution and is available in the application under Birst Reports.

These tools and features for Cognos Analytics have been removed in GovCloud mode. It is recommended that as part of your deployment in GovCloud, you can hide the following pages through configuration of the security groups for the various maintenance forms:

  • Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Cognos Mapping.
  • Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Workforce Performance - Query Studio.
  • Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Workforce Performance - Report Authoring
  • The Cognos My Reports page.
  • Maintenance > System Administration > Diagnostic Tools > Cognos Server Administration.
Note: If a user specifies the URL for a Cognos Analytics page that has been removed, the user will receive a generic 404 page not found error from the application.
In addition to the above changes, Cognos Analytics information has been removed from the following features in the application:
  • Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > System Information Page. The Cognos Information section under this page is not displayed.
  • Maintenance > System Administration > Diagnostic Tools > System Health Check. The System Health Check tool will not report any issues related to Cognos Analytics.

The Birst Reports page is displayed by default for the Workforce Management application when it is deployed in GovCloud mode. For more information on the reports in this location, see Infor Workforce Management for Birst Analytics Standard Reports Guide.
