Creating an authorized app in ION API Gateway

Use these steps to create an authorized application in ION API Gateway.

For Multi-tenant installations: if you need assistance with this step, contact Infor Support.

  1. Log in to Infor OS as the Infor System Administrator or as a user with the ION API Administrator role.
  2. In Infor OS, navigate to API Gateway > Authorized Apps.
  3. Click + to create a new App.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Provide a name for the app.
    Description
    Provide a description for the app.
    Type
    Select Backend Service.
  5. Click the Save icon.
  6. Activate Enforce Scopes.
    Note: This setting is required because ION API does not enforce Scopes on every authorized app.
  7. Click Download Credentials.
  8. Specify this information:
    Create Service Account
    Activate this option.
    Full Name
    Search for and select the ION API user you created in Creating a user for the external integration or the user you designated for the API calls.
    Scopes
    From the drop-down, select Infor-WFMPublic.
  9. Click Download.
    Note: You can only download these credentials once. You must store these credentials securely. This credentials file is used when validating the suite.
After you have completed these steps, verify the WFM Suite using the instructions in Validate through an external application.
