Recording elapsed time overrides
-
In the Enter Elapsed Time section, specify this information:
- Code
- Select a time code that classifies how the extent
of time was spent.
- Mon - Sun
- Specify the amount of hours the override lasted underneath
the day of the week it occurred. Any days that are left blank will use the
employee's default labor allocation to charge the time. For example, if an
employee performed a different job for eight hours on Wednesday, specify
8 in the Wed column and select the job
code. Specify the amount of time in multiple days and in the same row if the
same override occurred on multiple days. So if an employee worked on a special
project for four hours every day, specify
4 underneath every day and in the same
row as the project code representing the special project.
- Hour Type
- Select the hour type that determines how the
employee is paid for their time. You assign overtime pay by selecting
OT1 (overtime at time and a half),
OT2 (overtime at double time), or
OT3 (overtime at double time and a
half).
- Job
- Optionally, select a job to charge for the
employee's labor.
- Department
- Optionally, select a department to charge for the
employee's labor.
- Project
- Optionally, select a project to charge for the
employee's labor.
