Data Migration

The Infor Workforce Management (WFM) Data Migration Tool (Migration Tool) transfers configuration data between two instances. The data transfer moves configuration data from a source database to a destination database. The Migration Tool helps you with this process by performing many of the major migration tasks.

The Migration Tool is commonly used to migrate configuration data from one environment to another. For example, during an application implementation, you can use the Migration Tool to transfer data from a development environment to a testing environment. After testing is complete, you can then migrate the data from the testing environment to a production environment. You may be able to use the same migration file for both transfers, depending on the results of the testing effort.
