Creating folders

All folders you add to the Folder Tree are displayed as subfolders under the main ETM folder.

To create a folder:

  1. Click Config Utilities.
  2. Ensure the folder for which you want to create a sub-folder is open.
  3. Click New Folder under the appropriate folder.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
Specify the name of the folder
    Description
Specify a short description of the folder.
    Sort Order ID
Specify the sort order for the content.

If the sort order does not matter, leave this field blank. When multiple folders exist and this value is not populated, the application will sort the folders in the order they were created. A lower value will sort the folder first while a high value will sort the folder last. The actual sorting position depends on other folders sort order IDs (if they exist).

    Metadata
Specify additional, miscellaneous data that is used to configure the content.

Developers typically use this field. For example, metadata can be applied to the Messaging folder to set the maximum number of messages that can be stored in the Inbox at any time.

  5. Click Pick Group Permissions to assign security permissions.

Group permissions assigned to a folder enable only certain security groups to view and modify the folder. If a group is not included in a folder’s group permissions, the group’s members cannot access the folder or the folder’s content. To edit or view group permissions for a folder, see Viewing and editing folder and content group permissions.

  6. Click:
    • Submit to confirm your changes and return to the Config Utility page.
    • Save to confirm your changes but remain in the Create New Folder window.
    • Cancel to cancel the changes you have made and return to the Config Utility page.

If you click Submit or Save, the new folder is displayed in the Config Utilities page.
