Defining work detail filters on the Timesheet Selection page

The Timesheet Selection page lets you define filters based on up to ten numeric or string work detail fields. Date values cannot be included in the filters (for example, work detail authorization date).

To define work detail fields on the Timesheet Selection page:

  1. Select Timesheet.
The Timesheet Selection page is displayed.
  2. Click the Turn ON config mode icon.
The work detail fields are displayed.
  3. In the Field UI Configuration page, enable the overall Timesheet Detail Filter security element (DTS_TDF_FIELDS) field for the appropriate security groups.
  4. Configure the Timesheet Detail Filter (TDF) field:
    • Set the parameters for table from which the data should be retrieved.
    • Specify the fields to be displayed.
  5. Set security for the security groups that require access to your defined fields.
In this example, TDF_FIELD1 has been configured to display data from the TIME_CODE table:
  6. Click Save.
  7. Clear your browser cache to ensure your configuration changes are visible.
Your new filter is displayed on the Timesheet Selection page.
In addition to DBLookups, detail filters can also be defined with string or numeric UIs. Wildcard searching has not been enabled for these fields due to performance concerns. To search these fields, enter exact values if a detail filter is employed.
