Business Example 3 - Unauthorize Rule

This example covers these business needs:

  • Employees must record the time they spent working during their scheduled time. Any timesheet with unallocated time during a work day must be unauthorized for supervisor review. This requirement is addressed in Condition Set 1.
  • Supervisor must review the timesheet of any employee who recorded overtime. This requirement is addressed in Condition Set 1.

Additional configuration:

The employee's default labor allocation must use the UAT time code. The employee's timesheet is marked with the UAT time code, until the employee modifies their timesheet.

Results

An employee forgot to record their work on Monday. Their default labor allocation settings are inserted, which includes the UAT time code. The employee also recorded 2 hours of overtime on Friday.

The rule unauthorizes the timesheet on Monday and Friday. The reason code for the Unauthorize If During Scheduled Time Codes List parameter is displayed in the Issues pop-up on Monday.

The reason code for the Unauthorize Based On Hour Type Settings parameter is displayed in the Issues pop-up on Friday.
