Guarantees Plus Rule

The Guarantees Plus Rule has been enhanced to provide a guaranteed earnings option in addition to the guaranteed hours feature that is currently available.

For example, some state wage and hour laws provide employees with an extra provisional "bonus hour" of pay under certain work situations (for example, split shifts). You can configure the rule to pay employees who work under these predefined conditions at least a monetary amount equal to the total amount of hours worked at the minimum wage plus one bonus hour paid at the minimum wage. If the employee earns monies in excess of the minimum wage rate, those additional earnings can be used to offset the extra amount that is owed to the employee.

See "Guarantees Plus Rule" in the Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.
