WB8000 Volume Control

The WB8000 Clock has been enhanced to allow a system administrator to control the volume of a single WB8000 clock via the settings.conf file. The new setting audio.volume can now be inserted manually or via Admin Console into the settings.conf file and configured to a value from 0 (no volume) to 100 (maximum volume) to set the desired volume. If the audio.volume setting is not present or is deleted from the settings.conf file, then the volume of the clock is internally set to the default value of 50.

WB8000 Time Zone Configuration

The WB8000 clock has been enhanced to allow a system administrator to configure the time zone of a single WB8000 clock via the clock's reader. The clock's time zone configuration is now updated whenever a time zone change is made to the reader and the database update processes executes on the clock. When a clock is connected to the network for the first time, the time zone is updated on the first database update cycle if the clock's time zone is different than the one registered in the reader.

WB8000 Update Process

The WB8000 update process has been enhanced to better handle software updates versus configuration updates. Configuration updates are now contained within fix pack updates. This enhancement streamlines the update process, as only one directory per fix pack must be created. All configuration updates applicable to clocks running a particular fix pack, now have those updates applied via this single fix pack directory.
