Considering the current period when evaluating accrual details

By default, when accrual details are evaluated to determine if an employee is eligible for an accrual, the previous period is considered. For example, if an accrual is set up to run on the first day of the year, the previous year is considered when checking for "good" or "bad" time codes.

For greater flexibility, a new Consideration Period was added to let you determine whether the previous period (default) or current period (new option) is considered when accrual details are evaluated. For example, if an accrual is set up to run on the last day of the pay period, you can configure the accrual to consider the current pay period when checking for "good" or "bad" time codes.

Note: In previous releases, POST-13893 addressed a bug with the PAY PERIOD option that was causing the current period to be considered instead of the previous period. If you are using the PAY PERIOD option and want to maintain the same functionality before POST-13893 was applied, you must configure the value of the Consideration Period parameter to Current in the accrual.
