Improved localization

The 8000 Series Clock can now localize UI text using the supported languages. As well, accented characters that are used by a number of languages are now available.

System information menu

The 8000 Series Clock now includes a new menu called System Information. The new menu lists:

  • Operating System: {1.2.4}
  • Software Version: {6.1.3.0}
  • Configuration Version: {No Update} - if no updates have been applied or {Update.#}, if an update has been applied, where # is 1, 2, 3, etc.
  • IP Address: {192.168.2.1}
  • MAC Address: XX:00:XX:00:XX
  • Reader Name: {Cafeteria}

When MENU is selected, these items are displayed:

  • System Information (does not require authentication), which displays the menu items as read-only.
  • System Configuration (requires authentication), which allows users to view IP settings, enable DHCP, and specify a static IP address.

Keypad security

The 8000 Series Clock can now be configured to prevent users from using the clock keypad until after they have swiped their badge. After the badge is swiped, the keypad is enabled. Once enabled, users can enter their PIN and complete the authentication.

Disable settings

The 8000 Series Clock can now disable or delete settings via the configuration update process.
