Shift Billboard validations and approvals

Validations and approvals determine the conditions that must be met for a shift to be successfully posted to the billboard. They also determine the conditions for users to claim an available shift or to cancel an existing shift posting.

Shift Billboard actions complete validations in stages. First, basic validations evaluate if the action is a valid request. Second, the action must pass a workflow to determine if the request should be accepted or rejected. Workflows contain the required validation steps that the action must complete to be accepted. Certain actions may require approval decisions by users with specific roles, such as a team supervisor. The default workflows define the validation and approval steps that Shift Billboard actions must pass out of the box.

Customers can customize the workflows to modify the validation and approval steps that Shift Billboard actions are required to complete.
