Rule: Maximum Hours Per Day

This rule limits the number of hours that an employee can work in a single day.

Overview

The Maximum Hours Per Day rule determines whether an employee has exceeded the number of scheduled hours specified for the day. This rule counts the sum of all scheduled hours scheduled for that day, even if they are spread across multiple shifts. When the number of scheduled hours exceeds this limit, a violation occurs.

Violation Area
Violations count against the applicable day.
Enforce Calendar Day Cut
When the schedule compliance group has this check box selected, this rule counts each hour in a shift towards the calendar date the hour occurs on. Otherwise, all hours in a shift are counted towards the shift's work date.
Example
An example would be to limit the number of scheduled hours to 10 for each scheduled day.
