Notifying employees of shift or shift pattern assignments

When employees have been assigned their shifts or shift patterns, you should notify the employees of their schedule. Employees are assigned their shifts or shift patterns based on the bids they have made and the preference that is given to each employee. Before you can initiate the employees’ shift assignment notifications, the bid must be closed and the shifts or shift patterns must be assigned.

To notify employees of shift or shift pattern assignments:

  1. Select Maintenance > Optional Modules > Schedule Bidding > Schedule Bid Admin.
  2. Select the check box beside the schedule bid for which you want to notify employees of shift or shift pattern assignments.
  3. From the Select drop-down list, select Notify Assignments.
    Each employee from the bid group receives an e-mail notification of the shift or shift pattern the employee has been assigned. If the employee has no shift or shift pattern assignment, the employee will not receive an e-mail.
  4. Click Execute.
    A pop-up window displays the notification e-mail that will be sent to all the employees with an assigned shift or shift pattern. You can modify this message, if required.
  5. Click Send.
