Budget Adjusted Workload (BAW) enhancements in Auto-Assignment
The Budget Adjusted Workload
(BAW) process used by the Schedule to Budget
rule in Auto-Assignment has
been updated to follow the curve of staff requirements. BAW increases staff requirements for
intervals with the highest original staff requirements more than intervals with lower
original staff requirements. BAW decreases intervals with the lowest original staff
requirements more than intervals with higher original staff requirements.
When two intervals have equal staff requirements, BAW uses middle-out prioritization to increase the interval that is closer to the middle of the hours off operation. When decreasing staff requirements, BAW prioritizes the interval that is closer to the start or end of the hours of operation.
See "Budget Adjusted Workload (BAW) and staff requirements" in the Infor Workforce Management Auto-Assignment Implementation Guide.
