Adding system parameters

Add a new parameter to the system to add new functionality or define new behavior in the system.

Note: 
  • New parameters cannot be added under existing ones.
  • A parameter or folder can be added only by a qualified system developer. Adding a parameter or folder can affect the behavior of the system.
  1. Access the Registry Maintenance page.
  2. Select the folder where you want to add your parameter or folder by clicking on the folder in the Registry Tree section.
  3. Click Add from the Folder Selected section. The Add New Folder/Variable section is displayed.
  4. In the Add section, specify this information:
    Node Name
    The name of the new parameter or folder.
    Type

    Select one:

    • To create a new folder, select Folder.
    • To create a new system parameter, select Variable.
    Object Type

    Select one:

    • If you are adding a new folder, this field is blank.
    • If you are adding a new parameter, select the object type from the drop-down field. For example, java.lang.String.
    Object Value

    Specify the value assigned to the parameter or folder:

    • If you are adding a new folder, this field is blank.
    • If you are adding a new parameter, specify the value assigned to the parameter. For example, FALSE.
  5. Click Save.
  6. After you add the new folder or parameter, click Reload.

    Clicking Reload refreshes the Registry Tree. Your new item is displayed in the folder after you click Reload.
