AUTO_RECALC_FUTURE_BALANCES

Description

This parameter controls whether the Rule Engine recalculates future balance dates when it performs calculations. In some situations, disabling the recalculation of future balance dates improves the performance of the Weekly Timesheet. If work records are created for months in advance and every week in the future there are days when employee balances change due to an entitlement policy, then the Rule Engine recalculates every day in the future when balances change.

When set to True, future balance dates are included when the Rule Engine performs calculations. This is the default.

When set to False or left empty, future balances are not recalculated. You cannot set employee balances for a future date.

Note: This parameter is a global setting. You can selectively enable or disable future balance calculation for specific tasks based on your use cases and business requirements.

These tasks typically perform future balance calculations:

  • Recalculate Task
  • Full Recalculate Task
  • Interface Task for Employee Import
  • Holiday Assignment Task
  • Start of Day Task

For each task, the value of the Process Future Balance Dates parameter controls whether future balance values are recalculated:

  • Default: Global setting is used for the task.
  • TRUE or FALSE: Task setting overrides the global setting.

For more information on these tasks, see the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.
