Creating OT groups

  1. Select Maintenance > Optional Modules > Overtime Equalization > OT Group Setup.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Group Name
    Specify the name of the group.
    Group Description
    Optionally, specify a brief description of the group.
    Accepted Multiplier
    Specify the factor by which each hour of accepted overtime is multiplied. The multiplier is used to determine the change in employee OT balances when employees accept overtime offers.
    Refuse Multiplier
    Specify the factor by which each hour of rejected overtime is multiplied. This multiplier is used to determine the change in employee OT balances when employees reject overtime offers. Typically, this is a negative value so that employee OT balances are reduced when employees refuse overtime.
    Worked Multiplier
    Specify the factor by which each hour of worked overtime is multiplied. This multiplier is used to determine the change in employee OT balances when employees work the time in overtime offers.
    Not Available Multiplier
    Specify the factor by which each overtime hour an employee is unavailable is multiplied. This multiplier is used to determine the change in employee OT balances when employees are unavailable to work overtime offers.
    Placement Rule
    Select the points given to an employee when they are added to the OT group from the drop-down list. Select one of these options:
    • Zero: The newly added employee's OT balance does not increase.
    • Minimal in group: The newly added employee's OT balances is set to the lowest OT balance of any employee in the OT group.
    • Maximal in group: The newly added employee's OT balance is set to the highest OT balance of any employee in the OT group.
    Reset Rule
    Select the number of points that are given to the members of the OT group on the defined reset date from the drop-down list. Select one of these options:
    • Zero: The employee OT balances do not increase or decrease.
    • Minimal in group: The employee OT balances are set to the lowest OT balance, before the reset, of any employee in the OT group.
    • Maximal in group: The employee OT balances are set to the highest OT balance, before the reset, of any employee in the OT group..
    Reset Date
    Select the date to apply the value selected in the Reset Rule field.
    Note: The Reset Rule takes effect at the end of the day specified in the Reset Date field.
  4. Click Save.
