Adding rows to an OTS template or ACTIVE MR

A new row version in DRAFT status is added to the OTS template or active MR when you add a single row. When adding multiple rows, a bulk version of the new rows is created for the specified effective date range.

  1. Open row editing mode.
  2. Right-click inside the Employee column of the row where you would like to add the new rows.
  3. Select Before to add the new rows before the selected row, or select After to add the rows after the selected row.
  4. Specify the number of rows you would like to add to the schedule and click Update.
  5. Specify the effective start date and end date for the new rows.
  6. In the Row Name field, specify the names for each row.
  7. In the Job field, specify the job for each row.
  8. Optionally, if you are adding more than one row, you can specify the row details for all the rows in the gray row at the top of the table:
    Row Name - Prefix
Specify a prefix that is applied to the row names for all the new rows. For example, if you specify RN, rows 2 and 3 are updated to rows RN2 and RN3.
    Row Name - Index
Specify a number that is used as the initial row number for the new row names. The number increases by one for each row after the first. For example, if you specify 5 when adding three rows, the row names are updated to 5, 6, and 7.
    Job
Specify a job that is used for every new row.
  9. Click Submit.
The new rows are added to the template as a new bulk row version in DRAFT status.
  10. Edit the shifts and labor metrics for the new template rows as needed.
  11. Save and activate the new row(s):
    • If adding a single row, right-click in the Employee column and select Save. Then right-click in the Employee column and select Activate.
    • If adding multiple rows, click > Save and then click > Activate.
The new rows are added to the OTS template or MR.
For an MR, you can close row editing mode to assign the new rows to employees. The new rows in the MR are displayed if they are active on at least one day during the date range that is currently being displayed.
