Shift font color

Shift labels are displayed using the font color specified in the shift configuration. Because font colors are specified in shift configuration, different colors may be used for the same shift labels when displaying shifts for different teams or during different effective date ranges.

Shift labels are displayed in color in these MVS scheduling screens:
  • Advanced Schedule View (ASV)
  • Central Staffing
  • Master Rotation (MR)
  • One-time Schedule (OTS)
  • Relief Calling Area (RCA)
  • Relief Queue

When selecting font colors for shifts, it is important to consider the system colors. System colors are used by the system to highlight various shift states. Leave activities may also be configured with colors to highlight shifts that are fully booked off. In ASV for example, system colors and leave activity colors are displayed as background colors on shift cells. You should avoid selecting font colors that are similar to system colors or leave activity colors because this can make shift cells difficult to read, for example blue text on a blue background.

These system colors are used in the MVS scheduling screens:
Color Meaning
Blue Ad-hoc shifts, swapped shifts, and filled relief shifts
Aqua Partially booked off shifts
Yellow Unassigned shifts
Gray Relief Not Needed (RNF) and Relief Not Found (RNF) shifts
Red Pending relief shifts
Orange Action Required shifts
