Real-Time Self Scheduler (RTSS)

There are significant integration points between the RTSS and the MVS, including:

  • Regular and on-call shifts selected by employees using the RTSS are displayed within the MVS and are reflected in all applicable schedule metrics, such as coverage and scheduled hours.
  • Employees can define availability within the RTSS. This availability is used by the MVS in the same manner as availability defined using the Availability Management module. See Availability Management.
  • RTSS honors its own self-scheduling guidelines, as well as the Schedule Compliance module rules. Shifts that received a warning for a schedule compliance rule, but were approved by the employee, must be approved by the employee’s supervisor in MVS for the approval to be final. However, employees can give final approval for shifts that receive a warning for an RTSS guideline.
  • At the end of a self-scheduling process round, the unstaffed shifts displayed in the MVS are reduced to reflect the shifts self-selected by employees.
