Shifts

Schedules in MVS are created using shifts that are configured early in the schedule planning process. The shift configuration defines a set of work, on-call, and break details to be performed by employees that are assigned to the shift. Each detail contains an activity code and a start and end time when the activity is performed. Shifts added to the schedule include the details specified in the shift configuration by default, but users can edit an individual shift as required to modify the shift times, activities, or labor metrics.

Shifts are configured on a team level in MVS. Each team can be configured to use a different set of shifts, which are identified by their display label, for example DAY or 9D8. To simplify the configuration process, shifts can be configured for a parent team and then inherited by its sub-teams.

See "Shift Configuration" in the Infor Workforce Management Multiview Scheduler User Guide for details on configuring shifts.
