Common tips

Refresh

To refresh the data on some panels, swipe down the panel.

Locale

The language in which Infor Workforce is presented is determined by the locale specified in your profile in the desktop application.

See "Mobility language support" in the Infor Workforce Management Release Notes.

Adding a shortcut icon to your home screen

If you are using Chrome on an Android device, you will be prompted to add the shortcut icon to your home screen. After accepting, the shortcut icon will be displayed on your device.

Note: For the web app install prompt to show, you must not have already installed the web app and the mobility website must be served over HTTPS. In addition, you must interact with the mobility website for at least 30 seconds.

You can also add the shortcut icon to your home screen manually.

If you are using an iOS device, you must add the shortcut icon to your home screen manually.

Full screen

To enter a full screen mode, tap the two arrow icon in the top right of the screen. The browser URL is not displayed in full screen mode.

If you are accessing mobility using the shortcut icon on your home screen, full screen mode is the default.

Page orientation

Page orientation depends on the resolution of the device. The mobility application supports both portrait and landscape orientations. On most phones, portrait is the optimal orientation, but landscape orientation will also work. On most tablets, landscape is the optimal orientation, but portrait orientation will also work.

Timeout

The mobility application uses the same activity session timeout as the desktop application. If a user attempts to interact with the application after a session has timed out, the user will be redirected back to the login page.

Interaction with email and phone number fields

You can now interact with email and phone number fields. On most browsers, clicking the email address will launch the default email client and clicking the phone number will open a prompt to call the phone number.

Switching timesheet views

For managers:

  • To return to the summary view on the detail timesheet view of an employee, tap the day in the top panel of the current view that is highlighted.
  • To go to the detail view on the summary view, tap the day for a given employee.

Timesheet details

To collapse and expand the respective sections while in the Detail Timesheet view, tap the Clocks, Work Details, or Premiums headers.

Can see self

If the Can see self user property is not enabled for the user, they will not be able to see their name in the employee lists throughout the application. In addition, they will not have access to their own timesheet under the My Timesheet tab on the Timesheet page. The only exception is the My Staff homepage widget.

Multi-day time off request

To apply the same time off type for several days:

  1. Drag across calendar cells to highlight the days to which you want to apply the type. Or, use the date pickers in the new time off request view to specify the desired Start and End date.
  2. Submit a single multi-day request instead of submitting requests day by day.

GPS coordinates

Due to a recent change in browser security policy to remove support for "powerful features on insecure origins", the user will not be prompted to provide their GPS information when an insecure origin is used (any domain that is accessed using HTTP). Instead, a message is displayed indicating that the system cannot find the user's location. Using HTTPS instead of HTTP will resolve this issue.
