Showing work detail flags and UDFs on the timesheet

If user-defined fields (UDFs) or user flag fields (FLAGs) are used to capture work detail-related information, you can add these fields to the timesheet. For employees, the data stored in work detail UDFs or FLAGs may be relevant to their pay.

Using field-level security, you can configure these sections of the timesheet to show UDF or FLAG fields:

  • Work Details
  • Premiums
  • Elapsed Time (Weekly based detail view only)

On each section, up to 10 UDFs (UDF 1 to UDF 10) and up to 10 FLAGs (FLAG 1 to FLAG 10) can be shown. To allow a user to view, but not edit a UDF or FLAG field, configure the permission of the corresponding field to VIEW. To allow a user to edit a UDF or FLAG field, configure the permission of the corresponding field to ACT. On the timesheet, DENY is the default permission for all the UDF and FLAG fields.

For details on configuring the timesheet to show UDF and FLAG fields, see Timesheet.

Note: You must also update the field control of the UDF or FLAG field. See Configuring the field control of a UDF or FLAG field.
