Configuring the Clock widget to allow or disallow consecutive clocks

When using the Clock widget, duplicate clocks are not allowed unless the ALLOW_CONSECUTIVE_ON_OFF_CLOCKS registry parameter is enabled.

When this parameter is set to FALSE (default setting), the Clock widget prohibits employees from clocking ON if the system has determined that the employee is already clocked on or clocking OFF if the system has determined that the employee is already clocked off. If the user attempts a consecutive clock, a localized message is displayed and the requested clock transaction is not created.

For example, if the user tries to clock ON while already clocked on, "You are already clocked On time" is displayed. The configuration of the current user's locale determines whether a 12-hour (HH:mm AM/PM) or 24-hour (HH:mm) clock is displayed in the message. For example, if the System 24 Hour Time check box is disabled for the ENGLISH locale, a 12-hour clock is displayed in the message when viewed by users in the ENGLISH locale.

See "Configuring key system settings in the Configure Locale page" in the Infor Workforce Management Internationalization Guide.

Note:  Using the default setting results in cleaner timesheets, reducing the amount of corrections that supervisors must make to employee timesheets.

When this parameter is set to TRUE, consecutive ON or OFF clocks are allowed and processed by the system.

Note: Clock rules still apply and could prevent the clock transaction from being created.

See "ALLOW_CONSECUTIVE_ON_OFF_CLOCKS" in the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide.
