Searching for Entities

The Operations section contains filters that only consider available locations based on locations selected in the location tree. For example, if you have three districts selected, only the contents of these districts are searched.

You can also search your organization for locations by name, location type or property values using advanced searches. For information about advanced searches, see Performing Advanced Searches.

When using the Operations section, you can search results with or without using specific filter values. The more filter values you provide, the more specific your search. We recommend that you narrow your work set by utilizing operation filters.

By default, the Operations section displays all available filters for each entity type, but it can be configured to hide filters using Config Mode. For information about hiding filters, contact Infor Consulting Services.

To search an organization for a specific entity:

  1. Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Setup > Configuration Editor.
  2. Select locations using the location tree.
You can clear all selections in the location tree to perform the search across the entire organization.
  3. Select the entity type you want to search for from the drop-down-list box in the Operations section.
Selecting the entity type from the drop-down-list box automatically refreshes the Results table.
  4. Optionally, fill in any optional filter values.
  5. If you have specified filter values, click Go.
The entities matching all criteria you specified are displayed in the Results section of the Details Pane.
