Selecting, Searching and Refining Criteria

By default, when you navigate to the Configuration Editor page, the page displays corporate entity information for the entire organization.

Start all Configuration Editor tasks by specifying the criteria. Criteria specification occurs within the Navigation Pane by:

  • Exploring the location tree
  • Performing an advanced search
  • Selecting an entity type in the Operations section
  • Specifying values for the filters related to the entity type (in the Operations section) in order to narrow the search criteria.
  • Selecting entities that are displayed as a result of your work in the Navigation Pane to further refine your criteria.

You can also use the entities’ references to explore and identify areas of LFSO where modifications are required. For more information about references, see Using References.

These actions cause the entity type that you selected, or that was returned by a search, to appear in the Results section. You can continue to widen or narrow the returned results by refining your search criteria in the Navigation Pane.
