Subscription examples

Example: Subscription based on home team

In this example, the REPORT STORE team subscribes to the FS 24 Hour threshold. An employee's home team is used to determine fair scheduling violations of the threshold:

  • Team: REPORT STORE
  • Match Home Team: Selected
  • Apply to Subteam: Cleared

An employee is on the REPORT STORE home team and scheduled to the REPORT DEPT 1 team. Since the employee's home team matches the selected team, when a user edits a scheduled date within 24 hours for that employee, the user is presented with a fair scheduling violation.

Another employee is on the REPORT DEPT 1 home team and scheduled to the REPORT DEPT 2 team. Since the employee's home team does not mach the selected team, when a user edits a scheduled date within 24 hours for that employee, the user is not presented with a fair scheduling violation.

Example: Subscription based on scheduled team including subteams

In this example, the REPORT STORE team and its subteams subscribe to the FS 24 Hour threshold. An employee's scheduled team is used to determine fair scheduling violations of the threshold:

  • Team: REPORT STORE
  • Match Home Team: Cleared
  • Apply to Subteam: Selected

An employee is on the EVENT STORE home team and scheduled to the REPORT DEPT 2 team on August 10 and the EVENT DEPT 1 team on August 11.

Since the REPORT DEPT 2 team is a subteam of the selected team, when a user edits the August 10 schedule within 24 hours of the shift start for that employee, the user is presented with a fair scheduling violation.

Since the EVENT DEPT 1 team is not a subteam of the selected team, when a user edits the August 11 schedule within 24 hours of the shift start for that employee, the user is not presented with a fair scheduling violation.

Example: Subscription based on calculation group and team

In this example, the HOURLY calculation group and REPORT STORE team subscribe to the FS 24 Hour threshold. For the team subscription, an employee's home team is used to determine fair scheduling violations of the threshold:

  • Calculation Group: HOURLY
  • Team: REPORT STORE
  • Match Home Team: Selected
  • Apply to Subteam: Cleared

An employee Report-1 is on the REPORT STORE home team and in the SALARY calculation group. An employee Event-1 is on the EVENT STORE home team and in the HOURLY calculation group. An employee ricenicola is on the IT home team and in the SALARY calculation group.

When a user edits a scheduled date within 24 hours for Report-1, Event-1, and ricenicola, the user is presented with a fair scheduling violation for Report-1 (based on team) and Event-1 (based on calculation group).
