Using reader configurations for the TimeTrack clock

A reader configuration is a collection of properties known as configuration property definitions that control various aspects of behavior and configuration for the TimeTrack browser-based clock. The available configuration property definitions are static and are not replaceable or editable in any way. You are only permitted to change the value for each property to alter your reader configuration.

A reader configuration becomes functional when it is associated with a reader group.

You can create several versions of your reader configuration as you further refine your TimeTrack clock deployment. The previous version of the reader configuration can be used as the basis or reference for your new reader configuration. You can also choose to create a new base reader configuration with default values.

The start date and end date for each reader configuration determines which configuration is currently active.

WFM enforces certain rules regarding reader configuration start dates and modifying existing reader configurations and the reader groups that are associated with a reader configuration.
